Environmental Awards

On Saturday, the 2019 City of Gold Coast Environmental Awards ceremony was held at Royal Pines. 
Congratulations to Sally-Anne Simankowicz who received the Outstanding Volunteer Award for Friends of GCRBG. Sally-Anne was acknowledged for all the work she has done in Guiding, Visitor Information, Rose Garden maintenance, educational activities and coordinating a number of events for Friends.
Another Friend, Heather Mayr also received an Outstanding Volunteer Award for the Community Waters Program.
Heather has been an on-the-ground contributor for over 20 plus years. She is the assistant treasurer for the Gold Coast Catchment Association and valued member of Austinville Landcare.
What amazing volunteers making a difference to our natural environment on the Gold Coast!
